| For the past 3 years, Greg has been General Manager of the Arizona State University ACHA Division I hockey team. He also has 8 years experience as General Manager of youth hockey teams – high school, travel and house programs. A recently retired Board member of Arizona High School Hockey Association, Greg holds an Advanced Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching certificate and was directly responsible for marketing their Junior/Senior showcases for player advancement to the next level. He has also worked as an Association representative to the Arizona State Hockey Board. During his years of managing teams and working with Associations, Greg has established numerous reciprocal relationships with both college and junior teams. His passion for hockey is combined with his significant business skills. For the past 20 years, Greg has been Sales Director for a major direct mail marketing firm in Scottsdale, growing it from a small 4-person shop to one of the top 5 in Maricopa County. The same energy and enthusiasm that he brought to business will be extended to the Arizona Redhawks program. |

Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations: Robert "Robbie" Powell
|
Robbie comes to the organization with a huge background of developing players and moving them to the next level. He is a Level 4 Coach and former Level 4 Referee who has coached hockey at numerous levels over the past 20 years. He was the San Diego Jr. Gulls Director of Coaches and brought the Bantam Division to the National Level before he moved to Arizona where he has been the Director of Coaches and Player Development for the Arizona High School Hockey Association for the past five years. During this time, he also coached the High Schools’ U16 and U18 AA/AAA Travel programs. Currently, he is also the High School Affiliate ACE Coordinator to USA Hockey and on USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Committee. Robbie is known for demanding 100% from himself and his players and has moved over 70 players to higher levels of hockey through his contacts at the Junior, Minor Pro, and NHL levels. 27 players that he has coached have been drafted to the NHL and Robbie enjoyed watching his first former player, Ray Macias, play in the NHL this past season. The Redhawks are excited about the opportunities that they have secured for their players with the addition of Rob and look forward to exciting times. |

Assistant Coach: Roger Del Fiacco

Roger is a Certified Master Level 5 USA Hockey Coach, and certified Minnesota State High School League Head Coach who has coached hockey at numerous levels over the past 30 years. He has been the Head Coach for Team Montana Select 18, Team Midwest Select 16 in Minnesota and Team Colorado Selects. He has coached High School teams in Arizona, Montana, Minnesota, and Colorado, as well as Midget AAA in Colorado, Midget/Junior Gold in Minnesota and Bantam traveling programs in Minnesota and Colorado. This past season he served as Assistant Coach for the Horizon High School Varsity and Junior Varsity programs in Scottsdale. He is known for pushing players to work outside their comfort zones and uses over-speed on ice drills and off-ice plyometrics to help the players perform at their peak levels. Roger is also a student of the game and continues his education with the Arizona Redhawks under the guidance of Head Coach Rob Powell. |
Assistant Coach: Jim Baudanza![]() |
Jim played and competed in the hockey rich New England area for more than 17 years, for a combined 30+ seasons (winter and summer leagues), with more than 50 competitive travel, high school and junior teams. Having been recruited to play for all of the major prep teams and major colleges in the New England area, he knows what it takes to compete and gain those levels. After his playing days ended prematurely, he immediately jumped into coaching in Massachusetts under some of the most respected coaches in the area. As a high-level goaltender, he was an invited coach and demonstrator for some of the most highly regarded skating and goaltender camps in New England. A USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach, he is a dedicated student of the game and has been skillfully developing talent in Arizona since 1995. Combined with his experience in New England, Jim has coached for more than 25 seasons and more than 36 teams – a total of 40 years of playing and coaching is the passion that he brings to every team he coaches. |
Assistant Coach and Team Chiropractor: Jay McFarlane![]() |
Jay joins the Arizona Redhawks with 16 years experience as a chiropractic physician. Hockey has been in his bones ever since childhood. He was Captain of the 1981 NCAA hockey champions, the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jay has managed to combine his love of hockey with his chosen profession by being Team Chiropractor for the Phoenix Mustangs, Phoenix Roadrunners and Arizona Thunder. In addition to spinal and extremity adjusting, neurological and orthopedic testing, exploring range-of-motion and palpation, Jay is certified and licensed in physiotherapy and acupuncture. He is also a complete health coach, including nutritional counseling. |
| Sarita Faber Sport Psychology Consultant |
Sarita is currently a student at Argosy University Phoenix working toward her masters in Sport and Exercise psychology. She obtained her bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2007. An avid hockey fan and amateur goaltender Sarita is excited to be working with the Red Hawks in there upcoming season by contributing her knowledge of performance enhancement and team building. |
